Your tool input never leaves your browser

Every tool on this site processes your input locally, on your own device, using JavaScript running in your browser. Text you paste, files you drop, and results you generate are never uploaded to us — there is no server-side processing or database for tool inputs. Some tools let you save work in your browser so you can use it again later; see "Saved tool data in your browser" below.

No accounts

There are no sign-ups and no logins, so we don't hold a name, email address or password for an account.

Saved tool data in your browser

Some tools save data in your browser's local storage so it is available when you return. For example, Scratchpad Notes saves notes, Flashcard App saves decks and cards, and TOTP Generator saves authenticator accounts. The theme preference is also saved locally. This information is not sent to us, but it can remain after you close the tab and may be visible to anyone with access to your browser profile or device. The site does not encrypt these saved items. Remove them in the tool or clear this site's data in your browser settings. Avoid saving information on a shared device.

Advertising and cookies

Toolection is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads on this site.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Ad vendors may collect technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view, in order to select and measure ads. They do not receive the contents of what you enter into a tool.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings , or opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at aboutads.info . Opting out doesn't remove ads — it makes them less relevant.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent choices before personalised advertising cookies are set. You can change or withdraw those choices at any time from the privacy settings link in the consent banner. Where you decline, ads may still be shown but will be non-personalised.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on the production site to understand which pages and tools are visited. Google Analytics may collect page addresses, referring pages, browser and device details, approximate location, and online identifiers, and may use cookies or similar technologies. We do not send the text, files, or results you enter into tools to Google Analytics. Google's handling of data is described in its Privacy Policy . You can opt out using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on .

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to reply and handle your request, and retain correspondence only as needed for support or record-keeping. Your email provider also processes the message under its own privacy practices.

Hosting and logs

The site is served as static files by our hosting provider, which — like any web host — keeps basic, short-lived server logs (including IP addresses) for security, abuse prevention and reliability. These aren't used to identify or profile you.

Children

Toolection is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, the date below is updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
